Belgian regions and municipalities with INS codes and postcodes (nomenclature from 1/01/2025)

Method: processing is based on the comparison of two datasets, namely the overlay of the Bpost postal cantons dataset and the Administrative units – Municipalities dataset of the General administration of Patrimonial documentation of the Federal Public Service Finance.

Constraints: in most cases, there is a one-to-one relationship between postcodes and municipality codes, with the exception of 1040 (Etterbeek), 1050 (Ixelles) and 1804 (Cargovil).
